Karachi: On the list of the most potent air forces in the world, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has taken seventh place.
The addition of 1,434 aircraft to the Pakistan Air Force’s fleet has contributed to its reputation as one of the world’s top air forces, according to a report by Global Firepower.com.
Global Firepower looks at the quantity and variety of aircraft to determine its ranking.
With 5,737 helicopters, 1,854 fighters, and 3,722 support aircraft, the US Air Force leads the world in air power, and it spends $800 billion on defense each year. Second and third rank go to China and Russia, respectively, with China’s air force quickly upgrading.
The paper claims that Russia is a powerful nation with substantial air capabilities, even in the face of the current conflict in Ukraine. Supersonic aircraft and sixth-generation fighter jets are among the cutting-edge technologies being added to China’s air force.
The significance of the Pakistan Air Force is unmatched both internationally and in South Asia, where it plays a significant role. Moreover, France, Egypt, and Turkey are in the top 10.
