Nominations announced for 97th Oscars
The most coveted Oscars in the movie industry have revealed their nominations.
With thirteen Oscar nominations, Netflix’s Spanish-language feature Emilia Perez has the most, followed by The Brutalist and Wicked, each with ten.
At the Oscars, all three films will vie for the best movie title.
Carla Sofia, played by Emilia Perez, is also a nominee for Best Actress. On the other hand, for the first time in her forty-year career, actress Demi Moore has been nominated for an Oscar.
Fernanda Torres, Mikey Madison, and Cynthia Erivo are also in the running for best actress.
In contrast, Sebastian Stan, Ralph Fiennes, Colman Domingo, Adrien Brody, and Timothy Spall are all nominated for best actor.
The 97th Academy Awards are set for March 2, 2025, and it is important to remember that the nominations were delayed twice because of the flames in Los Angeles, which have claimed 28 lives.
