
ICC announces men’s cricketer of the year
Dubai: The Sargarfield Sobers Men’s Cricketer of the Year 2025 has been named by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Harry Brook, Travis Head of Australia, Joe Root of England, and Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah were all nominated for the ICC Sargarfield Sobers Cricketer of the Year award.
Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been named the Sargarfield Sobers Men’s Cricketer of the Year 2024, according to the ICC. He is the first fast bowler from India to receive this honor.
Jasprit Bumrah had a fantastic 2025 season and was a key contributor to his team’s T20 World Cup victory.
With 71 wickets in 13 Test matches in 2025, Bumrah was also the highest Test wicket-taker of the previous season.
He is the fifth cricketer from India to win.

This award has also gone to Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, and Ravichandran Ashwin.
After earning the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year Award, Bumrah expressed his joy.
