
ICC announces Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year
Dubai: The Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year has been named by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Shimron Joseph of the West Indies, Kamindu Mendis of Sri Lanka, England fast bowler Gus Atkinson, and Pakistani opener Saim Ayub were all nominated for the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year title.
On Sunday, the ICC named the Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
Kamindu Mendis of Sri Lanka won the Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year award, according to the ICC.
In 32 games across all formats in 2025, Kamindu Mendis amassed 1,451 runs.
In just nine Test matches in 2025, 26-year-old Kamindu Mendis amassed 1,049 runs, including five hundreds. 182 runs not out was his highest total.
